The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has signaled its readiness to chart a new course if the current power alliance dissolves. The decision was made during an unexpected secretariat meeting held at UML President KP Sharma Oli's residence in Balkot. Following the meeting, UML leader Pradeep Gyawali informed the media that if Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal opts to break the alliance, the UML is prepared to move forward in a fresh direction.

Gyawali emphasized the apparent crisis within the power coalition and stated, "What the Prime Minister does is up to him. If he is ready to break the alliance, we are ready to discuss it in a new way." The meeting concluded with a decision to engage in discussions with Prime Minister Dahal in a different manner.

Simultaneously, UML President Oli is in talks with Janamat Party President CK Raut in Balkot, focusing on the current political developments. President Oli's press coordinator, Ram Krishna Bajgai, confirmed that the ongoing discussion between Oli and Raut is centered around the evolving political situation.
