Correction in Nepse

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) followed yesterday’s trend as the benchmark index came down by 1.35% to close at 420.44 level. With the resistance at 422 level, the market index made a swing in its turn as it made correction to the level to 418 level. Then with the improvement in the scrip of NTC by Rs 10 at the last hour, the local bourse made an uphill to the today’s closing level.
It was all in all a bad day for Banking sector as the sector dropped by 0.99%.The fall in the dividend declared companies like SCB, Nabil, Global IME along with other 14 scrips push the sector down today. Machhapuchchhre Bank Ltd. trading was resumed from today after the successful merger with Standard Finance Limited. The scrip traded between range of Rs 109 to 117 and close at Rs 117 adding Rs 10 in its tally.
Similarly, Finance, Hydro and Insurance also suffered loss of 0.05%, 0.11% and 0.37% respectively. Despite the heavy gain in the scrip of Rastriya Beema Sansthan (RBS), closed at Rs 2044, by Rs 185, the decline in the price of Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd., Shikhar Insurance Co. Ltd. and National Life Insu. Co.Ltd. by Rs 47, Rs 21 and Rs 18 respectively pull the sector down. The raise in the scrip of RBS was mainly supported by the fundamental news of the company’s proposal of 39% Bonus Share for F/Y 2060/061, 39% Bonus Share for F/Y 2061/062 and 15% Bonus Share for F/Y 2062/063, making it the Top Gainer of the day.
Whereas Manufacturing and Trading sub-indices sector whose scrips are not frequently traded as compare to others lost 1.07% and 0.34% respectively. Under Trading, only Bishal Bazar Co. Ltd. was traded which lost Rs 7 whereas in Manufacturing, Uniliver Nepal Ltd. decreased by Rs 153.
Among the sub-indices, that added the most was Others as the surge in the level of NTC by Rs 6 aided in its gain of 1.01% points. Similarly, Hotels and Development also added 0.23% and 0.16% respectively. The raise in the Oriental Hotel Ltd. and Taragaon Regency Hotel by Rs 2 and Rs 1 contributed in Hotels sector growth. In same manner, the incline in 15 stocks among 31 traded today helped in Development sector climb.
Overall there were 94 scrips traded among which 36 scrips increased, 12 remain intact and 46 scrips decreased. The highest loser for the day was Multipurpose Finance Co. Ltd. (MPFL), closed at Rs 173, with Rs 18 or 9.42%. In case of highest share traded and turnover, KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 116, topped both the category. All in all,319,500 units worth Rs.36,430,300 via 49transactions were made of KIST today; in which Broker No 45 (Imperial Securities Co .Pvt. Limited) was most active broker with 79.65% stand alone dealing of KIST, amounting Rs 29,014,650 via 31 transactions of 253,950 units which includes matching of 70,500 units worth Rs 8,107,500 via 5 transactions.
The total turnover today was 113,294,649 which is comparatively Rs 18,533,170 or 19.56% higher than prior trading session. Overall 524,862 units of shares were traded via 1,331 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 397,873.99 Millions.
