ConnectIPS to facilitate digital payment of penalty amount for violating traffic rules; people can make direct payment right from their bank accounts
ConnectIPS has started a new service in its service portfolio under which people who are fined for violating traffic rules in Kathmandu can now pay for their fine amount directly via the ConnectIPS platform.
The MoU to this effect was signed between the CEO of NCHL Mr. Neelesh Man Singh Pradhan and SSP of Traffic Police Mr. Janak Bhattarai amid a program.
The new system has come into practice after the traffic police operationalized the Traffic rules Violation Record System in order to facilitate the digital payment of the fine amount. With this new launch, people no longer need to queue up in banks and visit the traffic police office to pay their fine amount after they violate the traffic rule; rather can do so right from their bank accounts connected with ConnectIPS payment channel, as per the media statement.
