Commercial banks deposit decline by Rs 4.42 arba, Loan incline by Rs 2.12 arba

Deposits at commercial banks took a hit on the third week of Shrawan as the figure decreased by 4.42 arba.

On Shrawan 18, deposits figure stood at Rs 10 kharba 13 arba, but one week later, on Shrawan 25, deposits declined to Rs 10 Kharba 9 arba.

But compare to the one month’s prior data, the deposit amount has increased by around Rs 25 arba.

Contrast to deposits, lending maintained the uptrend. As the new fiscal year has just started, the banks are now expanding their loan portfolio which was passive during the closing period of prior fiscal year.

The lending figures of commercial bank last week increased by Rs 2.12 arba to total at Rs 7 Kharba 51 arba compared to Rs 7 Kharba 49 arba of one week prior.
