Civil Bank’s Branchless Banking now at Sipaghat; service targeted to smallholder farmers

Civil Bank has started its Branchless Banking service at Sipaghat, Deupur-V.D.C of Kavrepalanchowk district. Bank’s CEO Kishore Maharjan inaugurated the service on Monday.

“We have extended this service targeting smallholder farmers residing in villages to big businesses in cities in order to justify and move forward towards fulfilling our Mission of ‘becoming every Nepali’s banking partner by extending all types of banking services,” said Kishore Maharjan, CEO of the Bank.

According to the statement from the bank, through this new service customers will be able to avail facilities such as withdrawal of funds in a secure manner, fund deposit, fund transfer from one account to another, mobile phone recharge, ATM cards, remittance facility, Mobilemai Nagad facility, SMS alert, checking of account balance, printing of statement indicating previous transactions, etc.

Furthermore, the Bank has said that its staff personnel have been deputed to the area for facilitating micro credit in a simplified manner to customers interested in running Small and Medium Enterprises as well as Agro -businesses.

The Bank has plans to open outlets for Branchless Banking service in near future including in Siddicharan N.P.-13., Rumjataar of Okhaldhunga district, Jitpur V.D.C-3, Bhawanipur in Bara district and Birta V.D.C -5, Parwanipur in Parsa district, the statement added.
