The certificate was handed over of the country representative of URS, Mr Prakash Poudel, to CEO of Civil Bank, Mr. Govinda Gurung. Mr. Poudel informed that the audit was carried out in three phases and the bank thoroughly fulfilled all the requirements to meet the 7 pillars of ISO 9001:2015.

Concluding the program, Chairman of Civil Bank, Mr. Icchya Raj Tamang said that the bank is also looking forward to merger and acquisition with other class A commercial banks. The chairman, for the sake of avoiding market manipulation hesitated to mention the name of banks that Civil is currently in talks with. He said, "We are taking first generation banks as our first priority and we are also in talks with second generation banks. The reason we are going for better banks is because we have realized that merger is not just about the financials of the banks and the swap ratio, the organizational culture also plays a huge role. Therefore, we want to make sure the transition through M&A smooth for shareholders and employees alike. In addition the ISO certification we just received will also play a important role in favor of our shareholders."
