KATHMANDU, DEC 1:

Civil Bank has opened new branch offices in Nepalgunj and Birtamod. The Birtamod branch was inaugurated by the bank chairman Ichchha Raj Tamang on Thursday, according to a bank statement. “These two branches will provide high-tech banking services to locals, entrepreneurs, industrialists and others,” says the statement. The bank is currently on the verge of launching initial public offering (IPO) to raise Rs 800 million from the primary market. The bank expects the offering to lure large number of investors particularly because there are lack of investment opportunities at the moment. The bank has appointed Citizens Investment Trust, Ace Capital Markets, NCM Capital Markets and Nabil Investment as issue managers for its IPO.
