Civil Bank Limited turns two

KATHMANDU, NOV 28: 

Civil Bank has successfully completed its one year of operation. The bank that commenced its operation on November 26, 2010 has expanded systematically with 11 branches and launched ATM/Debit Card services through more than 1,350 outlets by using SCT and NPN networks thanks to its advanced core banking software.It has managed to mobilise deposit of more than Rs 5.04 billion and disbursed credit exceeding Rs 4.6 billion, the bank’s CEO Kishore Maharjan said, adding that it is planning to open eight more branches during the current fiscal year. On the occasion of its anniversary, the bank has also established a social fund ‘Civil Bank for Society’ (CBFS) funded through direct contribution of all staff members of the bank with matching contribution from the bank itself. The CBFS has decided to fully sponsor living and educational expense of three orphans of Samaj Kalyan Bal Griha, Panchkhal.
