Civil Bank initiates QR code-based payment in Begnas lake of Pokhara; tourists can now make digital payment for their boat ride

Civil Bank has partnered with Fonepay for QR code-based payment system for boat rides in Begnas lake of Pokhara following which the tourists can now simply scan the QR code of the bank using their MoBanking service to pay for 220 boatmen.

Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Mr. Guru Prasad Paudel, NRB Pokhara head Dr. Ram Saran Kharel, Begnas lake Boat Association Mr. Dhak Nath Kadel, Fewa lake Boat Business Association Mr. Buddhi Bahadur Nepali, Civil Bank CEO Mr. Sunil Pokharel, Chief Business Officer Mr. Bhola Bahadur Bista, Branding and Corporate Communication head Mr. Bijay Ram Kasaju, Gandaki head Mr. Samir K.C., Shivachowk BM Mr. Harikrishna Adhikari, Lekhnath BM Mr. Navraj Dahal, Fonepay Assistant CEO Mr. Diwas Sapkota, Fonepay Brand Ambassador Mr. Sandeep Chettri, among others were also present in the event.

The bank currently has 115 branches, 11 extension counters and 97 ATM outlets under its network serving 7 lakh customers.
