Civil Bank initiates QR code-based payment at Dhangadi local market; aims to replace cash-based transactions with easy-to-go QR codes
Civil Bank has initiated QR code-based payment system at the local market of Dhangadi where people can now simply scan the QR code of the bank using their MoBanking service to pay for their purchases while purchasing goods at the local unit.
The QR codes were jointly handed over by Sudurpaschim director of Nepal Rastra Bank Mr. Subash Chandra Ghimire, chair of the market management committee Mr. Padam Bahadur Chand, Sudurpaschim head of the bank Mr. Dipak Joshi, among others.
The bank currently provides its services to more than 5 lakh customers via its 114 branches and 7 extension counters.
