Civil bank branchless banking service in Gorkha

KATHMANDU, Nov 11:

Civil Bank Ltd has started fourth branchless banking service at Arkhet in Thumi-5 of Gorkha. Issuing a statement, the bank stated that the start of the branchless banking service was a part of its service expansion to rural areas of the country.

 Civil´s Senior Executive Officer Govinda Gurung inaugurated the service which will be provided through Dhamal Traders.“In the present context where there is lack of financial literacy and outreach in rural areas, the expansion of branchless banking service will contribute, to a certain extent, toward development of financial reach and financial literacy of the country,” Gurung said.

According to the statement of the bank, withdrawal of funds, deposits, fund transfers from one account to another, mobile phones recharge, ATM cards, remittance facility, MobilemaiNagad , among other banking services, will be provided through the branchless banking service.
