Citizens Bank Supports Drishti Foundation, Promotes Mental Health Care and Digital Innovation
Citizens Bank International Limited has extended support to Drishti Foundation Nepal, an organization in Dhangadhi, helping mentally ill and abandoned women and their children. Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, the bank donated cleaning supplies and essentials sufficient for two months, benefiting around 65 individuals.
A handover ceremony was held, with CEO Mr. Ganesh Raj Pokharel praising the foundation's work and reaffirming the bank’s commitment to social welfare.
Alongside its CSR efforts, Citizens Bank has been recognized with the “Bank of the Year 2024” award and has introduced several innovations in digital banking, including Nepal’s first virtual credit card in partnership with Fonepay and a Cross-Bank Teller QR service. The bank operates over 200 branches across 61 districts and serves 1.89 million customers, combining nationwide reach with impactful social programs.
This partnership demonstrates the bank’s broader strategy to integrate social responsibility with digital innovation, setting a high standard for ethical and inclusive banking in Nepal.
