KATHMANDU, JAN 21:

Citizens Bank International and Prabhu Money Transfer have entered into an agreement to enhance remittance services in the country. A memorandum of understanding was signed and exchanged between the bank’s chief operating officer Ganesh Raj Pokharel and deputy managing director of Prabhu Money Transfer Rameshwor Sapkota amid a function held at the bank’s head office. The agreement allows customers to use the network of the bank — 33 branches across the country — to get money from Malaysia, United States and Gulf nations sent through 2100 agents of Prabhu Money Transfer, it said. Similarly, the bank has started providing branchless banking services from Katahari of Morang, Bahundangi and Gaurigunj of Jhapa, Godavari of Kailali, and Chinchu Bazaar and Mehalkuna Bazaar of Surkhet.
