Citizens Bank observes its 15th anniversary; becomes Rs 11.66 arba worth bank from Rs 56 crore bank in last 14 years with exponential growth in all indicators
Citizens Bank International has celebrated its 15th anniversary on Baisakh 7, 2078.
Once a 56 crore worth bank, Citizens Bank now has a paid-up capital of Rs 11.66 arba. The bank has so far acquired five different finance companies and development banks and is in the process to acquire Srijana Finance.
The bank has been registering Rs 1 arba plus net profit for the last five years whereas the bank has already earned Rs 1.54 arba within the third quarter of the current fiscal year. The bank had just 9 branches during its first year of operation while the branch count has reached 167 branches serving around 10 lakh customers as per the latest available figure. The staff number has also scaled up from just 44 employees during the first year of operation to 1600 staff members so far.
The bank amid its anniversary event has also launched the campaign video to promote the use of a QR code-based payment system to simplify the day-to-day transactions of the common man. The bank has committed to continue providing CSR-related support to needy organizations in the coming days, as per the media statement.
