Citizens Bank Marks World Environment Day 2025 with Tree Plantation Drive in Koshi Province

Citizens Bank International Limited organized a large-scale tree plantation program in Biratnagar, Koshi Province, on June 8, 2025 (25th Jestha 2082) to celebrate World Environment Day. Aligned with the theme “Beat the Plastic,” the initiative is part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to combat climate change and promote greenery.

Over 100 saplings were planted at Bishwakarma Chowk, Ward No. 8. The bank has also been active in other CSR activities like health camps and community support. Citizens Bank has recently earned the “Bank of the Year 2024” award and launched Nepal’s first virtual credit card in collaboration with Fonepay. With a network of 200 branches and advanced digital services, the bank continues to expand its modern banking presence across 61 districts of Nepal.
