Citizens Bank International Empowers Women with Sewing Machines in CSR Initiative

Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL), which has been serving the Nepalese public for seventeen years, supported Fatima Foundation Nepal through its corporate social responsibility initiative.

Fatima Foundation, a women-led organization in Banke district, focuses on the rights of women and children from Muslim, Madhesi, and other marginalized groups. The bank donated 20 sewing machines to help create self-employment opportunities for women from disadvantaged backgrounds, aiming to improve their income and lifestyle.

During a ceremony, the bank's CEO, Ganesh Raj Pokharel, handed over the machines and highlighted the bank's commitment to supporting women's independence and living standards.

Citizens Bank International Limited operates 190 branches, 153 ATMs, and 98 branchless banking units across 55 districts, servicing 1.73 million customers, and plans to expand further. The bank continues to engage in various CSR activities to foster positive social, economic, and cultural changes.
