Citizens bank started its operation in 21st June, 2007. It has 47 branches in Nepal and also provides Branchless Banking services.
The bank has started its Branchless Banking operation from Jestha 30, 2069 at Matiyani of Mahottari District.
The Bank has acquired Nepal Housing & Merchant Finance Ltd. and Peoples Finance Ltd. The acquisition was approved by NRB on Chaitra 26th, 2071. The bank will begin joint operations from Baisakh 25th, 2072.
