CIT bonus shares

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) is giving away 50 per cent bonus shares from the profit earned in the last fiscal. CIT, which sells various insurance, pension and other savings schemes to civil servants, had earned a net profit of Rs 193.23 million in fiscal 2012-13, up 56 per cent from the previous fiscal. As of mid-April, CIT was managing a fund of Rs 46.01 billion. It is planning to soon set up branch offices outside the Valley. It is also mulling over establishing a subsidiary to work as a market maker in the secondary market.
