Chilime Hydropower earns Rs 21.17 crore in Q1; Sales of electricity decline by 2.94% and Company recently announces 25% dividend

Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) has published the unaudited first quarter report for FY 76/77 today. As per the report, the net profit of the company has declined by 18.99% to Rs 21.70 crore from Rs 26.78 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal year. 

The company’s paid-up capital remains at Rs 4.75 arba. Similarly, the company has Rs 4.75 arba as retained earnings.

The investment in term deposits which were previously worth Rs 1.03 arba have increased by almost 46.60% to Rs 1.51 arba by the end of the first quarter and the company has invested Rs 5.93 arba in its associates companies.

The revenue from the sale of electricity decline by 2.94% and currently stand at Rs 35.10 crore.

Major Highlights:

 

The operating profits have fallen from Rs 29.48 crore to Rs 25.60 crore, marking a fall of 13.15% and tax amount rises by 50.67% resulting lower profit.

The company’s annualized EPS stands at Rs 18.24 and net worth per share at Rs 200.04. The company quarter end P/E ratio stands at 23.18 times.

Chilime Hydropower has recently proposed 25% dividend which includes 20% bonus shares for the FY 2075/76 which is yet to be endorsed by its AGM.
