CHIEF JUSTICE POSITIVE NOD BOOST NEPSE

Following the news of Chief Justice ,Khil Raj Regmi, ready to take charge of election government, the investor’s confidence in the market propelled than yesterday. The today’s development of positive political outlook in the current scenario of Nepal has once again created optimism among the investors’ of better and favorable financial market for the upcoming days, resulting in the surge of local bourse by 5.73 points to close at 544.24 levels.
Likewise, the turnover amount also surged to cross the Rs 100 million mark. The turnover today stood at Rs 138,455,844 which is higher by 60,772,020 or 78.22% than yesterday. The total numbers of shares traded was also at high figures as it tallied at 392,218 units which were carried out through 1,454 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 524,233.06 million.
Among the sub-indices, only Finance plunged by 0.21 points following the drop in Siddhartha Finance Limited (SFL) along with other four scrips. Whereas, among the rest of the sub-indices, Hydro soar by the double digit figure of 12.5 points as the increase in the Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL) by Rs 24 propelled the sector. Similarly, boost in Everest Bank Ltd (EBL), Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL), Global IME Bank Limited (Global IME) and Standard Chartered Bank Ltd. (SCB) by more than Rs 20, uplifted the Banking sector by 7.82 points.
While, the incline in Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) by Rs 4 helped to move up the Others sector by 4.7 points. Likewise, the increment in Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH) pushed up the Hotels sector by 0.75 points. As for Insurance and Development both also surged by 3.75 and 1.2 points respectively. Under Development, Tourism Development Bank (TDBL), has proposed to distribute 6.50% cash dividend for the profit of FY 2068/69, the news helped to uplift the scrip by Rs 2 to close at Rs 100.
Overall there were only 83 scrips traded among which 53 scrips increased 10 remained intact and 20 scrips decreased. The highest gainer for the day was, Lumbini Bank Ltd. (LBL), closed at Rs 274, with Rs 18 or 7.03% gain. Whereas, Nepal Bank Limited (NBL), closed at Rs 725, was the highest loser with Rs 37 or 4.86%.
In terms of highest share trade and turnover, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 322, topped with 78,696 units worth Rs 24,962,288 via 151 transactions; in which Broker no 50 (Crystal Kanchanjungha Securities Pvt. Ltd.) was the most active Broker with 6.31% stand alone dealing of NBB, tallying 4,018 units worth Rs 1,575,286 via 16 transactions which includes one matching transaction of 572 units worth Rs 39,468.
