Chief executives selection starts

KATHMANDU, APR 24: 

Public Enterprises Directorate Board has called for the application of chief executives of Nepal Oil Corporation and Nepal Airlines Corporation.

“The deadline to submit applications for both the public enterprises’ chief executives post will be till May 8,” joint secretary at the ministry Khum Raj Punjali said.

The board will start the chief executive selection process of Employees Provident Fund, Insurance Board, Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company and Nepal Water Supply Corporation in the second phase after completing the process of Nepal Electricity Authority, NOC and NAC, he said, adding that some 15 aspirants have applied for the post of chief executive of NEA.

“A total of 15 applications have been submitted until yesterday for the post,” Punjali said, adding that meeting of the board slated for tomorrow will shortlist five candidates out of the 15 applicants. “The board will oversee their financial and technical proposals after short listing.”

Earlier, in a dramatic move Dipendra Nath Sharma tendered his resignation just three months after his appointment in last November.
