Chamber of Commerce Urges Ambassador Paudyal to Boost Nepal-Canada Trade
The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has urged Ambassador Bharat Raj Paudyal, recently appointed to Canada, to prioritize and enhance export promotion between the two countries. The president emphasized the potential of the Canadian market for Nepali goods and encouraged streamlining exports of products like jewelry, pashmina, carpets, knives, and traditional clothing.
Highlighting the importance of simplifying the export process to address the trade deficit, the president called for a coordinated approach and a conducive business environment through government initiatives. Additionally, he recognized the contribution of Nepali students in Canada to Nepal's benefit and stressed collaboration in the private sector to strengthen commercial ties.
The Chamber expressed its readiness to support Ambassador Poudyal in promoting trade and investment, emphasizing the significance of his role in establishing direct commercial relations between Nepal and Canada.
