KATHMANDU, MAR 20:

Clean Energy Development Bank (CEDB) has joined hands with Clean Homes Investment (CHI) to empower the deprived segments of society with clean and renewable energy for their essential lighting needs. The programme, as part of its larger corporate social responsibility movement ‘Clean Circle’, will work towards creating an eco-friendly Nepal. The programme was initiated in Pharping VDC with a contribution of 320 watt solar PV home lighting systems to fulfil the vital lighting requirements of Karma Samtenling Nunnery (KSN). KSN houses, educates and cares for 60 poor children aged between 5-19 from Gorkha, Manang, Rasuwa, Sankhuwasabha and other parts of Nepal. Both CEDB and CHI, through this programme, look to help the underprivileged in countering the ongoing power crisis in the country.
