Call for industrial estate to Birgunj-Pathlaiya Industrial region
PARSA,JAN 15:
Industrialists of Birgunj-Pathaliya Industrial region have demanded to declare the area the Industrial Estate claiming that 20,000 workers were engaged in jobs in as high as 200 industries of this region.
Chairman of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ashok Temani said the Birgunj-Pathlaiya industrial corridor should be declared industrial estate as the industrialists were also feeling insecurity because of rising human settlements and other problems.
Temani said the Khanal-led government had prepared to declare the industrial estate to this corridor.
He further said Minister for Finance Barsha Man Pun is also positive in this regard.
Another industrialist of Birgunj, Subodh Gupta hoped that decision will be taken during the tenure of Finance Minister Pun.
