BUYING SPREE CONTINUES TO PROPEL NEPSE

Following yesterday’s big recovery of more than 4 percent, the market sentiment seems to gaining confidence yet again as the benchmark index today further inclined by 11.74 points to close at 972.17 level.

Moreover, the market turnover also continued to increase in healthy manner as the market volume today stood at Rs , which again is positive indication for the market.

Encouraged by the latest Nepal Rastra Bank’s clarification, that the held-for-trading restriction was only meant for short-term trading, the buying spree has once again resumed in listed companies.

All the sub- indices gained significant points today also after the investors overcame panic caused largely due to rumors spread by some vested interest groups that the market was collapsing owing to the central bank’s circular.

Insurance group posted the highest growth of 119.97 points followed by Hydropower with 88.5  points while the Banking group registered a growth of 4.96 points.

Similarly, the Development Banks, Finance, Hotel, Manufacturing and Others group also gained 8.77 points, 4.44 points, 15.74points, 1.02 and 7.04 points respectively.
