Butwal Power Company's Subsidiary Project Signs PPA With Nepal Electricity Authority

Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL)'s subsidiary Manang Marshyangdi Hydropower Company Pvt. Ltd. has signed a PPA with Nepal Electricity Authority.

The PPA is for the sale of energy generated from the 135MW Manang Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project. The agreement was signed on Chaitra 09. 

This project is being constructed under joint investments from Chinese companies SCIG International Limited, Xingcheng International Investment Co. Limited, and QYEC International Co. Limited. The company plans to begin electricity generation by March 2025 after the completion of the entire project. After completion, this project will add 767 Gigawatts hour of electricity annually in the national transmission. 

With this news, BPCL has gained 2.27% today with a huge spike in the volume. As of writing, BPCL has an LTP of Rs. 405.
