Businessman and Executive Chief Detained: District Court Approves 4-Day Custody for Alleged Land Misappropriation

The District Court Kathmandu had granted permission to Nepal Police to detain businessman Arun Chaudhari and the former executive chief of the board of directors at Bansbari Leather Shoes Factory, Ajitman Singh Thapa, for four days. The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police had arrested them on Thursday.
According to the court's information officer, Chandra Prasad Panthi, a bench of judges, led by Madhav Prasad Ghimire, has instructed the police to hold the detainees in custody for further investigation. The arrests are related to the alleged misappropriation of 10 ropanis of land owned by the Factory. Chaudhari was taken into custody from Lainchaur, while Thapa was apprehended from Battisputali, Kathmandu.
