Business community in Durbarmarg area denounces unilateral decision from KMC to remove erstwhile parking lane in the area; threatens to strike against any tyrannical working procedure
Business communities in Durbarmarg of Kathmandu have denounced the unilateral and tyrannical decision from the Kathmandu Metropolitan office to remove parking space from a dedicated parking lane in the Durbarmarg area.

Claiming that the decision is an ill-thought and uncoordinated one, the business communities have accused the KMC of deliberately harming the business and touristic value of the Durbarmarg area with its lopsided decision.
Durbarmarg Development Board has claimed that the recent autocratic decision has cost Durbarmarg area the 50% of its total business revenue. The board has further claimed that it used to provide free parking earlier whereas the KMC office has been forcefully charging Rs 80 per hour for paid parking before totally banning the parking from the area, as per the media statement.
