Buses with Wi-Fi service to ply on Pokhara-Sauraha route

Tourism entrepreneurs of Sauraha and Pokhara are jointly starting bus service on Sauraha-Pokhara route, making it easier for tourists who wish to travel between two famous tourist destinations of Nepal.
In the first phase, two new buses, with Wi-Fi facility, will ply on Sauraha-Pokhara route. Each of the bus will have seating capacity for 35 passengers.
“Passengers travelling on the bus in the morning will get water and breakfast while lunch will be served for those travelling in the afternoon,” said Narayan Bhattarai, the president of the Regional Hotel Association Chitwan Chapter, adding, even domestic tourists can travel on the bus.
The buses are expected to be put on the road by Mountain Overland Travel and Tours within a day or two. The round-trip fare has been fixed at Rs 1,100 per person.
To ensure smooth operation, a 24-member committee visited Sauraha on Saturday.
“We are having discussions on management of bus operation,” said Biplov Paudel, a central member of the Paschimanchal Hotel Association.
Said Tourism Entrepreneur Ram Mani Khanal: “The new bus service will make it easier for tourists who wish to travel directly between Sauraha and Pokhara.”
