The Bulls Take Hits But Hit Back Harder; NEPSE Achieves First Triple-Digit Gain in History

The NEPSE index closed at 2,980.78 today after gaining an impressive 161.94 points from yesterday's closing. This is the first triple-digit intraday gain in the history of NEPSE. The index had lost 108.26 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,816.93 and created the intraday low at 2,805. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,980.78.

A total of 17,922,588 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 9.826 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 11.24 Arba. 224 scrips traded hands via 109,182 transactions.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 46.3 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 705.6 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

At least 66 scrips have hit the positive 10% circuit today. 10.5% Nepal Investment Bank Debenture 2082 (NIBD2082) lost the most, and that too, a minimal 1.94%.

All sectors have closed green today. Development Bank gained the most 9.92%, followed by Finance that gained 9.34%.
