Bulls Dismiss Yesterday's Loss, Index Gains 43.29 Points and Closes at 2,692.47

The NEPSE index closed at 2,692.47 today after gaining 43.29 points from yesterday's closing. This is a gain of 1.63% on the index. The index had lost 30.75 points yesterday.

238 scrips traded hands via 48,161 transactions. The Float index is at 185.42 after gaining 1.67% while the Sensitive index gained 1.84% and is now at 506.16.

Api Power Company Limited (API) had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.37 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 491 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of three companies technically gained 10%, hence hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, 10.25% NBBL Debenture 2085 (NBBD2085) lost the highest 3.53%, hence closing at Rs. 1,040.

"Trading" and "Manu.& Pro." are the only two sectors that closed red today. The former lost the highest 0.68%. Among all other sectors that closed green, "Hotels And Tourism" has gained the highest 3.48%.

Technical Analysis Highlight

The index opened at 2,647.75 and created the intraday low at 2,633.91. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,692.47, hence signalling general confidence in the market. This has led to the formation of a significant-bodied green candle on the candlestick chart.

Furthermore, a total of 7,336,334 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.676 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.621 Arba.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 61.14. The reading was at 58.10 yesterday. Meanwhile, the MACD line has crossed higher from the zero line, with the MACD reading at 17.21. This is an optimistic indication. The MACD reading was at 7.67 yesterday. The MACD line had already crossed over the signal line a few weeks ago, indicating a mild bullish sentiment.
