Bullish NEPSE to remain closed today to mark the Republic Day

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain closed today on the occasion of the Republic Day.

NEPSE, which closed at 866.57 level, will reopen for trading on Sunday for trading at noon on Sunday as  The only share market of the country remains closed every Friday and Saturday for the weekend.

With the budget to be introduced by the pro-market government just round the corner, the market is expected to surge further when it reopens on Sunday.
 
Yesterday the benchmark index had breached the previous 66 months’ high of 866.25 levels, which was set on May 5 of this fiscal year.

Previously, the market index witnessed this level was back on November 2, 2008, when the local bourse was free falling from 1175.38 level.
