Breaking Barriers: Honda Dio 125 Conquers Jyadla Pass at 5,300 Meters
For the first time in Nepal's vehicular history, a scooter has successfully reached the high-altitude Jyadla Pass (5,300 meters) in Upper Dolpa. The Nepal Eighth Wonder team, in collaboration with Syakar Trading Company Pvt. Ltd., accomplished this feat using a Honda Dio 125, a scooter typically designed for city commuting. Despite rough terrain, low oxygen, and steep climbs, the journey was completed without major mechanical issues.
The scooter’s modern features, including a BS6 engine, enhanced smart power (eSP), ACG silent start, and advanced suspension, played a key role. The expedition aimed not only to test the scooter’s capability but also to inspire others with the message that determination, teamwork, and a reliable vehicle can overcome any challenge. Syakar Trading sees this achievement as a blend of Nepal’s rugged geography and Honda’s engineering excellence, and reaffirms its commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles suited for Nepal’s diverse conditions.
