Boudha Mahotsav 2083 Set to Showcase Local Culture, Arts, and Heritage
The “Boudha Mahotsav 2083 – Our Culture, Our Celebration” is set to be organized in Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 6, Boudha, with the aim of promoting religious, cultural, historical heritage, and tourism. The festival will be held on Jestha 23 at Mahendra Bouddha Secondary School, Phulbari area, and is expected to bring together locals, youth, families, businesses, artists, and tourists.
The event will feature cultural dances, traditional Lakhe performances, folk processions, local handicrafts, food stalls, and musical performances by popular bands and artists including The Axe, Hercules Basnet, The Render, The Pasa Rockers, and others. Organizers aim to showcase Boudha’s cultural identity while promoting community unity and local entrepreneurship.
Ward Chair Bhuwan Lama stated that the festival is not only for entertainment but also a platform to preserve and promote the cultural and tourism significance of Boudha for future generations. Special arrangements for parking, traffic management, and security have been made to ensure smooth participation.
The festival will be open to all, and both domestic and international visitors are encouraged to experience Nepal’s rich cultural traditions, local cuisine, and vibrant community celebrations.
