Bonus Shares of VLBS and SLICL Deposited to Demat Accounts

Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (VLBS) has distributed 20.0311% bonus shares directly to the Demat accounts of its shareholders.

The 9th AGM of the company held on 24th Poush, 2078 endorsed a 21.085% dividend for the fiscal year 2077/78. The meeting of the board of directors held on Kartik 29 decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 26.65 Arba. 20.031% bonus shares worth Rs. 5.34 crores and 1.058% cash dividend (for tax purposes) worth slightly over Rs. 5.62 crores were proposed.

The same bonus shares are now deposited. Poush 12 was the book closure date. Thus, shareholders maintained before that day are entitled to the dividend payout.

VLBS closed at Rs. 1,132 yesterday.

Similarly, Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) has also distributed 12.70% bonus shares directly to the Demat accounts of its shareholders.

The 13th AGM of the company held on Poush 19 endorsed a 13.3684% dividend for the fiscal year 2076/77. The 301st meeting of the board of directors held on Kartik 13 decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 2.26 Arba. 12.7% bonus shares worth slightly over Rs. 28.73 crores and 0.6684% cash dividend worth Rs. 1.51 crores were proposed.

The same bonus shares are now listed. Poush 09 was the book closure date. Thus, shareholders maintained before that day are entitled to the dividend payout.

As of writing, SLICL has an LTP of Rs. 661.

For those who have not dematerialized their shares of the respective companies, the dividend will be distributed only after they complete the necessary procedure. Furthermore, investors who have taken margin loans against the shares of the companies are required to present a No Objection Letter or a Release Letter, depending on when they took the loan.
