BoK enters 21st year

Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) has successfully completed 20 years of operations. BoK was established as a private sector bank with the highest public shareholding. The bank, over the years, has spread its network in all 14 zones of the country, which includes all rural, semi-rural and urban centres. It currently has a total of 50 branches, 58 ATM terminals, nine extension counters and more than 2.7 lakh customers. At the end of fiscal year 2069-70, the bank was able to earn a net profit of Rs 617.1 million and its total deposits amount to Rs 27.70 billion, and loans and advances stand at Rs 23.05 billion. Every year, BoK introduces new events and schemes to serve its customers. In its bid to promote awareness about banking activities and saving habits, it is also expanding its ‘Financial Education’ campaign across different parts of the country. Likewise, the bank’s initiative in encouraging saving habit has been successfully implemented under its ‘Save for the Future’ campaign.
