Bloodbath in NEPSE: Index Sheds 99.86 Points, Investment Worth Rs. 1.41 Kharba Wiped Out in Single Day

The NEPSE index closed at 2,820.65 today after losing 99.86 points from yesterday's closing. This is a loss of 3.42% on the index. The index had shed 10.83 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,926.12 and did not trade higher. While it went as low as 2,804.07, it ultimately closed at 2,820.41.

228 scrips traded hands via 113,205 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 17,063,833 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 8.888 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 6.604 Arba.

Api Power Company Limited (API) had the highest turnover of Rs. 38.34 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 523 per share. Its shares were also traded the most.

Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) and Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL) lost the highest 7.82%, hence closing at Rs. 440.60.

All sector indices have bled red today. "Development Bank" lost the highest 4.5%.
