Birgunj customs collects Rs 32 billion in eight months
BIRGUNJ, APR 1:
The major centre for collecting revenue of Nepal, the Birgunj Customs Office has raised revenue more than the target in the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2068-69 BS.
The office collected revenue amounting to Rs 32.52 billion in the period which is more by four percent as compared to the target.
The set target was Rs 31.32 billion. The customs tariff was Rs 11.70 billion whereas the target was Rs 11.09 billion. Likewise, Rs. 15.22 billion was raised as Value Added Tax (VAT) and Rs 5.38 billion as excise duty.
