Basnet is new CNI president
KATHMANDU, DEC 24 -
Narendra Kumar Basnet has been elected as a new president of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI)at its 10th annual general meeting. He was earlier serving as the senior confederation’s vice-president.
Industrialist Binod Kumar Chaudhary, who headed the CNI since its establishment, will now be the president emeritus.
Basnet, who is also the chairman of Bank of Kathmandu, said that he would give no chance to the industrialists to feel sorry about the country’s industrial environment and his performance.
“Although leading the CNI is a challenging task, I would do everything in my power to ensure that the hope of industrialists is not turned into hopelessness,” the newly appointed CNI president. The two-day long AGM of CNI concluded on Sunday.
