Bankers‚ NRB hold discussion
KATHMANDU:
Bankers on Thursday discussed on banking and financial issues included in Immediate Relief Package that has promised to increased deposit insurance to Rs 500,000 from current Rs 200,000.
The budget for the current fiscal year has asked the banks and financial institutions to insure the deposits of individuals of up to Rs 200,000 but the package has increased it creating confusion over Immediate Relief Package for Supplementary budget. Nepal Rastra Bank’s senior deputy governor Gopal Prasad Kafle, deputy governor Maha Prasad Adhikari, Nepal Bankers’ Association officials took part in the discussion.
