Bank staffer shot at in armed robbery

RAUTAHAT:
A gang of four masked robbers targeted bank staffers who were ferrying a bag laden with cash and robbed Rs 2 million at gunpoint from outside the State Bank of India's branch in Chandrapur in the district on Tuesday.
According to Superintendent of Police Sanubabu Thapaliya at the District Police Office, Rautahat, two staffers of Infrastructure Development Bank had just left the SBI after withdrawing the cash when they were challenged by the armed robbers.

One of the armed men pulled trigger at ID Bank's security guard, Tek Bahadur Karki, and told him to handover the money.
As Karki refused to give in, the robber fired two shots at him, and took over the bag.
Karki has sustained injuries in both of his legs.
Ujjwal Rijal, another employee of the ID Bank, was also injured in the scuffle.
Karki is said to be in a critical condition.
Both the injured are receiving treatment at the National Medical College, Birgunj.
Police said the gang apparently used two motorbikes (Ba 56 Pa 9418 and Ba 35 Pa 6933) for the robbery.
Meanwhile, police managed to nab one of the four robbers from the forest area in Jodiwal. Police resorted to shooting to get hold of him.
The suspect has been identified as Narayan Rai of Pipalmadi, Sindhuli.
Police said Rai has sustained bullet injury in his right leg.
Police said they are looking for other suspects also.
