Bank of Kathmandu begins QR code payment with 3 different bus service providers of east Nepal; customers can pay digital bus fare at Kakarbhitta, Dharan and Biratnagar route

Bank of Kathmandu has begun QR code-based payment system in public buses that run on different routes in eastern Nepal. The bank has partnered with Purbi Nepal Yatayat, Shree Kankaimai Pathivara Yatayat, and Shree Super Jansewa Yatayat for the digitization work.

The QR codes were handed over by Province I head of the bank Mr Ravi Kafle to the representatives of the respective bus committees following which passengers travelling in Kakarbhitta, Dharan and Biratnagar routes can enjoy easy payment of their bus fare, as per the media statement.

The bank currently has 90 branches, 78 ATM outlets, and 10 extension counters under its network.
