Back to Back Meetup with Private Sector; PM Balendra Shah to Hold Meeting with Energy Sector Leaders
Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) is holding another meeting today with energy sector leaders at the Prime Minister's office in Singha Durbar. The meeting was called to discuss the current problems and potential solutions facing the energy sector. Key representatives from the Independent Power Producers' Association, Nepal (IPPAN), including its president Mohan Dangi, immediate past president Ganesh Karki, and senior vice president Uttam Lama, are attending. The discussions are expected to touch upon policy issues, investments, electricity production, power transmission, and various concerns raised by private sector investors.
This meeting is part of a series of back to back discussions the Prime Minister has been hosting with different sectors of the business community over the past few days. The day before yesterday, the Prime Minister met with top business leaders from the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and other related business leaders to talk about wider economic conditions. Following that, yesterday, he held discussions with representatives from the construction sector to address issues related to infrastructure projects, and today PM Shah is set to meet with energy entrepreneurs to discuss in energy sectors problems, challenges and solutions. Showing a continuous effort to sit down with different business groups and hear their challenges.
