Asian Life Insurance milestone

Asian Life Insurance has entered its sixth year of operations on Tuesday. The insurance firm has opened 20 branches and 66 sub-branches across the country in the last five years, it said. Asian Life Insurance has distributed bonus shares of 27 per cent and 8.29 per cent in the last five years, it said, adding that its paid up capital currently stands at Rs 490. 59 million, including 8.29 per cent bonus shares amounting to Rs 30.80 million. The company will be issuing five per cent rights shares to increase its paid up capital to Rs 500 million to meet the ceiling set by the Insurance Board.
