As Lock-in Period Nears Its End for Several Companies, Will NEPSE Liquidity Change?

Mon, Mar 16, 2026 12:05 PM on Latest,

The Nepal Stock Exchange is expected to witness a notable liquidity shift in Asar 2083 as the three year lock-in period for shares of 13 listed companies comes to an end. This regulatory milestone will allow a large volume of previously restricted shares held by promoters, project-affected locals, and employees to enter the secondary market for the first time.

Market analysts note that the increase in share supply could lead to short term price volatility. However, the development may also create opportunities for investors to accumulate larger positions in companies with strong fundamentals.

Companies with lock-in ending before July, 2026 (Asar 2083).
