APNIC Signs MoU with SANOG to Strengthen Internet development in South Asia

The Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) and the South Asia Network Operators Group (SANOG) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen technical capacity, community collaboration and Internet development across south asia.

The agreement was signed by Jia Rong Low, Director General of APNIC, and Rupesh Shrestha, Chair of SANOG, establishing acollaborative framework centered on a shared vision  of “A global, open, stable, and secure Internet.”

Under the MoU, the two organizations will jointly deliver technical training and capacity-building programsfor network engineers and operators in the region, with a focus on deploying IPv6, Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI), and Route Origin Validation (ROV), to strengthen network security and resilience.

APNIC is a Brisbane-based, non-profit organization serving as the Regional Internet Registry for the the Asia Pacific. SANOG is a non-profit regional forum forum with its secretariat in Kathmandu, bringing together network operators and engineers across South Asia.
