Api Power signs PPA with Nepal Electricity Authority for selling 40 MW electricity from Upper Chameliya; 26.41 crore unit to come online into national grid after the completion

Nepal Electricity Authority has signed a power purchase agreement with Api Power Company for the electricity generated from 40 MW Upper Chameliya Hydro project. The agreement for the same was signed between ED of NEA Mr. Kulman Ghising and Executive member of the hydro producer company Mr. Sanjiv Neupane amid a program on Falgun 15, 2075.

The project will evacuate the produced power through Attariya-Balanch power grid.

Upper Chameliya will give 26.41 crore unit electricity annually out of which 33 % will be produced during the dry winter season.

The rural Darchula based hydro project is being constructed with a cost price of Rs 18 crore per MW which in total amounts to Rs 7.20 arba.
