Api Power reports huge increment in its net profit in second quarter; EPS at Rs. 14.84

Api Power Company Limited (API) has posted net profit growth of massive 245.79% in the second quarter (Q2) of the current FY 2077/78. The profit increased to Rs. 14.32 crores in this quarter from Rs. 4.14 crores in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
The company reported a total income of Rs. 30.37 crores in this quarter; an increment by 112.61% compared to corresponding quarter of previous year.
As per the management, 8.5 MW Naugad Gad Small Hydropower project has successfully commenced its commercial operation and the company has also completed the construction of 8 MW Upper Naugadh Gad Hydropower Project which had already started its commercial operation from 13th Kartik, 2076. The company is also constructing 40 MW and 4 MW projects namely Upper Chameliya HPP and chandranigahpur Solar Project respectively.
Its reserve fund stands at Rs. 29.70 crores with share capital at Rs 1.92 Arba. The borrowings of the company stand at Rs 1.70 Arba by the end of the second quarter.
The company sits in a liquidity position of 1.13 times; however, the acceptable liquidity ratio is 1.5 times.
Its annualized earning per share stands at Rs 14.84, net worth per share at Rs 115.39 and P/E ratio stood at 17.85 times.
