Anup Rajan Bhattarai appointed Managing Director of NTC

Anup Rajan Bhattarai has been appointed to the post of the Managing Director of Nepal Telecom.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers yesterday decided to promote Bhattarai, who had been the Deputy Managing Director of Telecom, to the post of the Managing Director.

As the Deputy MD, he was looking after wireless service directorate of NTC.
The post of NTC’s Managing Director was vacant since October 11 after the tenure of the then MD, Amar Nath Singh, expired.

Bhattarai, who had completed his engineering degree from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, had joined NTC 32 years ago.

He had played important role in introducing IP, CDMA, WiMax besides 1 crore GSM mobile phones in the country.
