Ankhukhola Hydropower Holds 17th and 18th AGM, Approves Financial Reports and Future Investment Plans

Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited successfully concluded its 17th and 18th combined Annual General Meeting (AGM), where shareholders approved the company’s annual reports for fiscal years 2080/81 and 2081/82.
The meeting endorsed the audited financial statements, including the balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, cash flow statements, and related schedules for both fiscal years. It also appointed auditors for the fiscal year 2082/83 and fixed their remuneration in accordance with the Companies Act, 2063.

The AGM further noted the completion of the rights share issuance process approved by the Securities Board of Nepal, with proceeds being used to reduce a bank loan of Rs. 40 crore. The company also confirmed its continued investment in the Ankhukhola-2 Hydropower Project under Ganesh Himal Hydropower Limited, as part of its long-term expansion strategy.
During the event, Chairman Ram Shrestha highlighted the company’s achievements, challenges, and plans, emphasizing its significant contribution to Nepal’s energy sector. He credited investors, employees, local communities, and stakeholders for the company’s progress. The company reaffirmed its commitment to increasing clean energy production, strengthening institutional capacity, and enhancing its role in national energy security through continued private sector involvement.
